Is This Even Allowed?

Personal trainers dislike it because you don’t need that much effort to operate these apps.

But they’re taking over the world really and we mean really – quickly. These apps are designed to replace personal trainers as they range from those which work out daily exercise plans for you, right through to those that determine what and how much you can eat each day.

Here are our top 5 apps to help you turn over a new leaf for the new year!

5. Blogilates

Blogilates was a YouTube hit sensation where creator, Cassey Ho, made home Pilates super accessible for anyone to do in the comfort of their own home. She acts as your instructor so you don’t need to go out and find a class to join! She now has an app which takes it to another level, giving access to the videos as well as a forum. It’s free to download with optional in-app purchases.

4. Spotify Running

By far the coolest addition to the crew. Spotify Running is made specifically to personalize music based on how you run. What it does is it tracks the pace in which you run and picks a song that matches you! It’s almost like have your PT follow you with a stereo and match your music to your activity! This one is free too!

3. SideChef

I’m sure you know by now that food and eating makes up a big portion of how well you do with reaching your goals. SideChef understands that eating well is part of it all but also gets that it’s hard to cook without getting your hands dirty so it gives you audio instructions instead. You get to make all sorts of cool new dishes such as this snazzy veggie cube snacks! This is another free app.

2. Sleep Cycle

The importance of sleep is often underestimated when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle. Sleep Cycle keeps that in check by monitoring your sleep patterns it will then choose the best time to wake you up based on this information. This app is free on iOS with optional in-app purchases and $0.99 on Android.

1. Fitnet

This one is great for those who just can’t find the time to get the gym on the a daily basis. So instead, it gives you a choice from a range of workouts that take around 5 to 7 minutes. The best part about it is that it utilizes your phone camera to tell you if you’re doing the moves correctly! This is like a PT in your pocket when you can only do mini-sessions without having to fully gear up for the gym! Once again, Fitnet is a free app with optional in-app purchases.
