We all know that the key to successfully losing weight comes down to consistently eating well and maintaining an exercise routine.   1. Get Enough SleepIt’s hard to believe that this simply isn’t discussed enough when it comes to weight loss.
    Everybody knows that sleeping more is good for our health, but did you know that it’s been scientifically proven to help improve weight loss?b

    That’s right. Scientists have proved that sleeping an extra few hours can help you in multiple ways.

    Firstly, it helps to regulate your body’s ability to burn fat. When you’re sleep deprived, you produce “cortisol”, the stress hormone, which is linked to fat production.

    Secondly, it also controls your food cravings. Being sleep deprived increases a hormone in your body called “leptin”, also known as the hunger hormone. You definitely want less of this in your body.

    Thirdly, sleeping more means more insulin control in your body. Now why is insulin so important? Well, apart from it’s sugar duties, it also controls your fat cells and how easily you absorb fats.


    So curb that smartphone browsing habit before bed and opt for an extra hour of sleep instead!

  2. Cardio Exercises Aren’t the BestWhenever I enter the gym, I shake my head and sigh as I notice the same people slaving away on the treadmill or fitness bike for days on end without trying anything else.It’s a common misconception that sweating it out with cardio exercises are the best way to lose weight. Some people think the more you sweat, the more fat you’re burning.


    While we agree that doing enough cardio will result in weight loss, we also understand that weight-based exercises can actually burn even more fat. The reason being that stimulating your muscles to become stronger through weights actually puts your body into “building mode” which can last for hours.

    During “building mode” you’re body is burning sugar and fat in the body in order to make your muscles denser and more toned. The result: less fat and a toned body.


    Oh and if you’re afraid of packing on those big muscles – fear not, you’re going to need a whole lot more testosterone and daily food intake if you want to go down that path.
